Anna Maynard

Anna Maynard qualified in 1999 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractors with a Masters in

Chiropractic and following her registration year was awarded a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) in 2000.

Anna first started work in Godalming in 2000 at Godalming Chiropractic Clinic and decided to open
up her own clinic in partnership with Wayne Chester-Davis in 2013 in order to drive a clinic forwards
with her passion for professional, personalised treatment at the highest standards.

She has always prided herself in offering a wide range of treatment options to her patients and
since qualification has spent many hours in post-graduate training equipping herself with an array of
treatments allowing her to tailor make each management plan according to each patient she sees.

In particular she has completed training in SOT (sacro-occipital technique) a chiropractic philosophy
aiming to treat each patient individually and holistically to improve their overall health and reduce their symptoms. She has also trained in paediatric chiropractic, rehabilitation, cranio-sacral therapy (CST) and ‘Cranial Osteopathy for Chiropractors.’ In 2005 she qualified in Dry Needling a western acupuncture technique which she uses for some conditions.

She is passionate about her work and feels strongly about the benefits of chiropractic treatment for
patients of all ages with a vast array of problems. She has enjoyed working with various top level
athletes both at senior and junior levels to prepare for events or just to help maintain fitness levels
and prevent injuries whilst training.

Anna feels very at home treating patients of all ages and thinks nothing is better than a day where
her eldest patient of 93 attends the clinic and then a mum brings their new born baby of 2 weeks for
a check up.

Over the years she has helped patients by working as part of a team with a nutritionist, podiatrist,
homeopath, acupuncturist, midwife, GPs and consultants both privately and within the NHS, as well
as referring to rehabilitation specialists and pilates instructors in order to provide each patient an
appropriate management plan for their condition.

In 2005 she assisted at a post graduate event to teach other chiropractors in the treatment of
pregnant women covering conditions such as pelvic girdle pain (PGP), symphysis pubis dysfunction
(SPD) and methods to promote optimal foetal positioning which research has shown reduces labour
times and the need for medical intervention in labour.

She has also had the privilege to act as advisor for features in Health and Fitness magazine and
was featured with a patient in Channel Four’s The Real Birth Show. She has written articles for the
National Childbirth Trust in Surrey and attends antenatal groups to give advice about Chiropractic
treatment in pregnancy and for infants and babies.

Her other passion is her own family, she feels strongly that being a mum herself helps to empathise
well with patients and offer profession, friendly, empathetic advice wherever it is needed.
